Events at Mullion School

End of Term Letter

End of Term Arrangements

Dear Parent/ Carer

I am writing to give you more information about events leading up to the end of term, and the start of next term. Unfortunately the annual Christmas Concert which takes place at St. Mellanus will not take place this year. Rest assured it will be back in the calendar for next year.

Some key dates for your diary are as follows:

Wednesday 11 December – Christmas Lunch – £2.50 per Pupil Please remember that if your child has not ordered or paid for a Christmas Lunch (except Free School Meals) they will need to bring a packed lunch. There will be no exeats to the village on this day.

Tuesday 17 December This will be a non-uniform day in aid of Shelter, which supports the homeless. Pupils will need to pay £1.00 towards this day.

Wednesday 18 December – School finishes at 1235 This will also be a non-uniform day (students do not need to pay) however,, it would be wonderful to see the children getting into the Christmas spirit.

Monday 6 January – First Day of the Spring Term – All students return on this day.

I write to advise you about a way you can support the school by purchasing goods online. The process is very straight forward and every time you go through the link given below, the Mullion School Association will receive a donation. The larger companies offer discounts if you go through the link below but you will be asked to register with them.

I appreciate that a number of you may already have made those important purchases for Christmas, however, the number of companies subscribing to this process is significant and I am sure you will have cause to make purchases throughout the year.

This system is a good way of supporting the school on a regular basis as I know with work and family commitments, it is not always possible to support some of the events which take place in school.

Our next edition of the Newsletter comes out just before the end of term, but I would like to take this opportunity of wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Yours sincerely
