Yr & France Trip - booking now!
12/10/2009

Mr Fordyce and Mr Seaton are currently looking to book places on the France Trip 2010. Here is a students account from last year to give you a flavour of what it is all about:

We all gathered in the bus park and chose our seats on the coach while our bags were being packed into the bottom. The coach journey was great and as we arrived at the ferry port in Plymouth we all spotted the ferry we would spend the next six hours on. Before we boarded we were given our tickets which
were then checked by some of the staff. When we got on the ferry we were shown our meeting place where we were allowed to chat and eat our lunch. There was loads to do and many of us went to the shop where we bought sweets for the journey and presents for our families. At 6 o’clock we arrived in Roscoff, France. We got off the ferry and waited for the coaches, then when the coaches came we went back to our seats. An hour or so later we arrived a le Centre de Keraudren where we went straight to dinner.

After dinner we were allowed to stretch our legs before we were told which rooms we were in. The rooms were very simple and practical – the beds were very comfortable and each room had an en suite bathroom.

The next day we went to the Morlaix market and then to a beach where we played beach games like rounders and tug-ofwar followed by lunch made by the teachers!

The day after that we went to a theme park where we were allowed a free go on the go-carts. We ate lunch by the coaches and went back to the theme park. The theme park included a roller coaster, trampolines, a merry-go-round and several water rides.

The third day was similar to the first day; we visited a market in Lesneven and then we went to a beach where we had a sand sculpture competition and lunch.

On the fourth day we went on a walk to Huelgoat and saw the La Roche Tremblante or Trembling Rock, which, if you push it in the right place, will move.

On the final day we went to a hypermarket before we boarded the ferry, where we bought presents for family and friends and food and sweets for the journey. The whole journey was very enjoyable apart from the occasions when the coach driver put on some music from the 1960’s and played it really loudly!
We arrived back at school at 11pm. Overall it was the best school trip I’ve ever been on!
